D. Braxton Scherz 1

 

Enjoying his 30th year in the LNG business, Mr. Scherz is an engineering specialist with broad based expertise in all aspects of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industry.  He has an extensive knowledge of ship systems, shipbuilding, LNG marine operations, time chartering, LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements, terminal development, and LNG project simulation.

 

Graduating from the Texas Maritime Academy in 1976 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marine Engineering, Scherz spent 15 years at sea and advanced his USCG license to “Chief Engineer of Steam Vessels of Unlimited Horsepower.” He moved to Virginia Indonesia Company, Inc. in 1990, and began his LNG career as Staff Rotating Equipment engineer. Scherz relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1995 and was seconded to Pertamina’s LNG Joint Management Group. In 2000, Mr. Scherz repatriated and joined El Paso Global LNG Inc. as Vice President – LNG. He helped develop El Paso’s LNG regasification vessels ("Energy Bridge") and mooring system.

 

Scherz started DB&A in 2001 to promote LNG development both on and offshore. As joint owner of Bearhead LNG, Scherz assembled the team that sold the project to Anadarko in 2004. After working for DNV, Houston, he left to serve as President of Eureka Pumps Americas, Inc. until 2015. Scherz reactivated DB&A to develop "small" LNG projects worldwide, and assist foreign start-up companies looking to establish themselves in the U.S. He currently consults for Abra Controls, and ST Americas.

R. Yvonne Scherz, P.E.

 

Yvonne is a multilingual, accomplished, and versatile Licensed Petroleum Engineer with extensive experience in all aspects of the business including reservoir engineering, production engineering, completions, and downstream LNG projects. Prior industry positions include Technical Manager, Business Development Manager-Reserves, and Manager Reservoir Engineering. She has over twenty-five years’ experience with Exploration and Production companies, and five with LNG business development.

 

She also performs SEC, SPE-PRMS and Competent Person's Reports, Canadian NI51-101 reports, integrated reservoir studies, prospect, and formation evaluation. Over fifteen years of reservoir engineering include field development of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, production forecasting and economic evaluations. She directed integrated field studies applying reservoir simulation to determine impact of infill drilling in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Yvonne also performs prospect and formation evaluation for A&D. She possesses exceptional technical skills to ensure successful reservoir management and maximum EOR.

 

Specialties: Deepwater, Gas shale, Liquids-rich shale, EOR, CO2 flood, CBM, and the mitigation of fracture dynamic interactions. Yvonne is currently consulting for DB&A.

E. Brynn Heilbrun

 

Brynn earned her B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Houston in 2010. She managed back office operations at Buckle, Inc. for about one year, and left to take the Office Manager position at Eureka Pumps Americas, Inc. During her 3.5 year tenure, she brought all accounting and bookkeeping in house saving the company over $30K annually.

 

Brynn also managed payroll, HR, foreign resident visa applications, corporate insurance, invoicing and other administrative tasks. She was responsible for a budget exceeding $2 million USD per year. Brynn is personable, driven, and well organized having a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Her last boss said it all, "With Brynn handling the day to day, I can focus on sales. service, and growing the company!"
